Read and Summarize FDR's Inaugural Address

The focus of his 1st inaugural address was to address the economic problems and problems of the workers. He reassured that their gov't is still by their side, and the gov't will give them a "New Deal". FDR says that the American people must trust him to bring the nation back. FDR recognizes that the machines that brought about the Great Depression have already destroyed public opinion. The chief concern now is getting Americans jobs. The inaugural address also includes that international trade is important to the economy. However, domestic trade should be fixed before international. The focus of his first term is the "New Deal" that will bring changes to the economic policy. Laissez- Faire will no longer be followed.
